The purpose of this paper is to: Review the gas industry market structure and regulatory framework in EU countries, and compare these countries' experience with Romania; and Identify ways in which Romania could utilise the experience in EU countries to comply with the EU Gas Directive and strengthen Romania's gas sector reform.
