Article from: OGEL 4 (2003), in National and International Issues in Natural Gas Development
Summary
p>This article is an overview of the most important and emblematic issues relating to the liberalisation of the Italian gas market. The review does not pretend to be exhaustive but to present concisely certain critical issues arising out of unclear and sometimes backdating legal framework, which the liberalisation process faces in different areas of the gas market, namely: (i) transportation, (ii) storage, (iii) distribution and sale, (iv) security of supply. On the other hand, recent legislative measures that aim at improving such situation are also analysed.
