Abstract
Just like in other countries, the discovery of oil in Uganda presents a number of opportunities which will affect the lives of its citizens. There will be new employment opportunities, changes in its social economic and political activities become inevitable. With oil exploration and exploitation, the indigenous and national communities will be affected in all aspects of life. These changes will not only be positive, there will also be costs.
