Legal Aspects of Inter-State Maritime Delimitation in the Eastern Mediterranean Basin

Introduction
The purpose of this paper is to outline the principal contours of the normative framework at the inter-State level that may come to bear on questions of delimitation of the territorial sea, the continental shelf, and of the EEZ of the coastal States in the EMB region. We focus on these three matters given the fact that the EMB contains no maritime area outside either the territorial sea or the EEZ of coastal States in the region.
