Abstract
2010 has been crucial for the oil industry. As consequence of the Deepwater Horizon blowout, oil-producing countries are reconsidering their strategies to develop their offshore oil resources. Moratoriums on offshore exploration and production have been declared and international oil companies are reassessing their offshore risks.
