Summary
Nigeria and Cameroon shared an undefined maritime boundary in the areas surrounding the Bakassi peninsula and adjoining waters within the Gulf of Guinea. This boundary has been subject of a dispute, which has culminated in a case before the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
