Summary
This article sets out to appraise the emerging Local Content Policy in the Nigerian upstream oil and gas sector. Local Content has been defined as the amount of value added in Nigeria in the course of production and supply of goods and services by indigenous as well as foreign-owned companies. Recent studies have shown that Local Content in Nigeria is very low.
