Joshua Woodyatt

Joshua Woodyatt is a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of International Security Studies student at the Australian National University, and a research associate with a focus on comparative energy policy.
A 2019/20 Ethel Tory Scholar at the Humboldt-University of Berlin, where he studied European law and East German history, his research is especially focused on law and policy in the German-speaking world. To this end, he is currently working with the COALSTAKE project, an interdisciplinary SNIS-funded initiative aimed at better understanding the politics of coal transition in coal-dependent economies.
He is currently preparing his Honours thesis in law, on the Weiss decision of Germany’s Federal Constitutional Court, in addition to his ongoing research into German and European affairs.
