Charis Karacosta
Profile
Ms Karacosta has completed her LLB, at University of Leicester, UK with a First Class Honours in 2012. In 2013, she obtained her LLM on International Environmental Law and Policy at UCL, UK where her thesis on maritime boundary delimitation and joint development zones was awarded with distinction.
Following a 6 month internship at the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg she is currently working as an Associate Lawyer in a reputable firm (A.G Erotocritou LLC) in Cyprus in the Corporate and Commercial department.
Academic interest in Oil and Gas law and particularly in maritime delimitation and prospects of joint development zones in the Eastern Mediterranean. Moreover she is interested in the possibility of natural gas discovery and joint development zones in the Eastern Mediterranean becoming a route to peace and cooperation for the conflicting states in the Eastern Mediterranean (most notably Cyprus - Turkey conflicts).
