Dr. Yulia Yamineva
Profile
Yulia Yamineva is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Climate Change, Energy and Environmental Law of the Law School, University of Eastern Finland. Her current research interests lie at the nexus of energy, environment and climate change, in particular in the following areas: (1) impact of climate change policies on the energy sector, and (2) sustainable finance and investment, including climate-related finance.
Yulia Yamineva completed her Ph.D. at the University of Cambridge, Department of Politics and International Studies, and also holds MPhil in Environmental Policy from Cambridge University and BA Hons Law from South Ural State University, Russia. She worked for the UN Climate Change Convention Secretariat on international climate finance and the International Institute for Sustainable Development on the UN climate change negotiations. She has also undertaken a number of consulting assignments for the UNFCCC, UNITAR, UNDP, German Development Institute and the private sector, mainly on climate finance and safeguard policies of international financing institutions.
