Humphrey Douglas is an energy partner with international experience throughout the energy value chain, Humphrey previously acted as a General Counsel for a major Middle Eastern energy company. Humphrey's oil and gas experience includes regulatory, joint ventures and commercial contracts. His recent unconventional experience includes working on Total's entry to the UK shale market and advising a national oil company on its sale of onshore oil and gas assets and what is believed to be the UK's first coal-bed methane and shale-derived long term gas sales agreement. Humphrey is currently working for: the developer of a shale-derived LNG re-gas, oil and Ethane importation and trans-shipment terminal in the Western Hemisphere; a national oil company on its proposed acquisition of NW Europe's largest oil field; and for a Japanese trading house on a substantial upstream development and joint venture involving the Russian Government. Humphrey is a regional committee member of the Energy Institute and is also a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators.
