Matt Lady is an Energy Policy Adviser at the Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC) and a Solicitor in New South Wales, Australia.
Matt holds an LLB(Hons) (University of Adelaide), an LLM in energy law (University of Melbourne), an MSc in energy policy (University College London), and a Diplome d'Université en droit nucléaire international from the OECD/International School of Nuclear Law (University of Montpellier 1).
Matt has worked as a lawyer at a large international law firm, primarily in dispute resolution and natural resources law, as in-house counsel in a major construction and engineering firm, and as a minerals and petroleum tenement consultant. Matt also has experience in an ASX50 upstream oil and gas firm and as a university law lecturer.
In his current role at the AEMC, he provides strategic energy and economic policy advice to the Commission and the Australian Commonwealth, State and Territory governments.
