Måns Jacobsson was from 1985 to 2006 Director and Chief Executive Officer of the International Oil Pollution Compensation Funds, intergovernmental organisations located in London (United Kingdom) that provide compensation to States, public and private entities and individuals who suffer pollution damage as a result of major tanker oil spills. Before joining the Funds his was Head of the Department for International Civil Law in the Swedish Ministry of Justice. He has also held the position of President of Division of the Court of Appeal in Stockholm (Sweden). Since his retirement from the Funds at the end of 2006, he is working as a consultant in maritime and environmental matters and as an academic lecturer.
