Peruvian Lawyer and ex Fulbright scholar at the University of Houston Texas, with ten years of experience in hydrocarbons and environmental matters. Has been head of legal advisors at the hydrocarbon's bureau at the Ministry of Energy and Mines in Peru where she worked in the preparation and changes of the new legal framework for the development of the natural gas market in Peru, negotiated and modified contracts related to the Camisea project (the largest project of natural gas in Peru), negotiated the contract for the development of the natural gas exportation project (LNG).
Also supervised oil and gas contracts and prepared the legal framework for reducing sulfur content in Peruvian fuels from 10.000 ppm to 50 ppm. As a Fulbright Scholar she obtained a LLM degree in Energy Law, Environment and Natural Resources at University of Houston Law School and was trained in AEI (formerly Ashmore Energy and Prisma Energy (Holding Company with Headquarters in Houston, Texas, owner of different energy assets in emerging markets). Currently, Miss Tavera is legal advisor for Hunt Oil Exploration and Production Company LLC, a Dallas based company with operations in the Peruvian rain forest.
