Matt Stone
Profile
Matt Stone is a Master's student in global governance and diplomacy at St Antony's College, University of Oxford, where he studies on a prestigious Marshall Scholarship. In addition to his work with OGEL, he sits on the editorial board of the journals Energy Politics and St Antony's International Review. He occasionally pens reports for political risk and energy consultancies on a subcontracting basis.
His abiding interest is Eurasia - from Lisbon to Vladivostok - and the geopolitics, economics, languages, history, cultures and cuisine thereof. He has engaged in study-travel and research in places like Siberia, the Caucasus, the Persian/Arabian Gulf and Kurdistan.
Conversant in Russian, Stone previously interned for Nuclear Threat Initiative in Washington, DC, during which time he assisted with NTI's nuclear non-proliferation efforts in the former Soviet space.
Stone holds an MSc in energy studies (specialization in energy economics) from the University of Dundee as well as a BA in international studies and a BA in economics from the University of Arizona, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2007.
