Dr. Leon Moller
Profile
Leon is Course Leader for Oil, Gas and Renewable Energy Law (LLM/MSc), and lectures in Maritime Law, Oil and Gas Law, and Oil and Gas Contract Law at the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Scotland. He specialises in maritime law, energy, oil and gas law, contract law and international law of the sea, including teaching and supervising postgraduate research (PhD research).
Prior to joining the University Leon worked as solicitor in Aberdeen advising energy and oil and gas companies on their North Sea and West Africa operations. His previous roles include Petroleum Commissioner (Namibian Ministry of Mines and Energy) and Legal Officer (National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia).
Leon has experience in the contractual, legal and regulatory aspects of the energy sector, including environmental protection and decommissioning of offshore installations covering the UK, Middle Eastern, West and Southern Africa. He has a PhD on the Law of the Sea and LLM in International Natural Resources Law from the University of Dundee, Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) in Scotland.
