EU Energy Law (Angus Johnston and Guy Block) - Book review
Published 16 December 2013
Introduction
Energy (electricity and the factors of its production such as gas, petroleum and renewables) is critical in the discussion of sustainable development and modernization. It forms a key portion of private household and public sector costs, thus the development of effective laws and policies for energy is of paramount importance. It is therefore a welcome development to have a cerebral textbook on the evolution and current state of energy law and policy in the EU such as "EU Energy Law" by Angus Johnston and Guy Block at a time when energy issues in the EU are becoming more multifaceted and transitional. The book mainly examines the EU energy laws and regulations currently in force and their peculiar background.
